It's almost officially fall and I am so excited, despite that it's still 90 degrees here. I have learned that the temperature really makes no difference. You are officially allowed to decorate for fall when the calendar says September. If you're really anxious, you can decorate for September in August. Either way, if you live in the South, you should not feel bad about decorating for fall even ... View Post
The Countdown
Hi there! It seems I have been missing from my blog-writing duties lately. I am so, so tired right now but we are almost to the fun part where I get to design and style our showroom! I can't wait to post pictures of it (and our other projects), and hopefully meet you at our shop! Things have evolved in the past few months so much that it's hard to keep up! I would love to give you an ... View Post
Happy February!
Hi everyone! I can't believe it's February already-- has anyone decorated for Valentine's Day this year? In the past, we've always had lots of little homemade heart banners and garlands out but this year I've totally forgotten! Mid-August Update
I love this time of year. Even though it's still summer (even more so in the South), the angle of the sun changes and reminds me of good things. We're from the Pacific Northwest, and there (in Eastern Washington), the warm sun gives way quickly to chilly breezes by late October. Those days in September and October are my favorites of the whole year. Here, in Tennessee, we don't get to enjoy ... View Post
How to Use Barn Doors. Well.
Welcome back, guys! Hope you had a good 4th! I always have good intentions of updating the blog often but then life gets in the way. But, since I know you are on the edge of your seat about this farmhouse/barn door discussion, I thought getting back to it right away might save someone from decking out their whole house in brand new "barn doors" from Lowe's. Though I might be too late because ... View Post
