Farm tables and more, plus a small request

April 27, 2018 By Holly Thompson 6 Comments

Hi there!

We just survived our first full week of being open!  Thanks to all of you who came in to visit us!  We started the week scrambling to get everything priced and displayed, and ended the week with our first Google review (and a GIANT load of new items waiting to be priced and displayed)! Plus some new customers and clients.  It all turned out much better than expected (let’s just say I was down in the dumps on Monday).

We have really cool and yummy-smelling candles from FULcandles!  They just arrived today and are all natural and smell nice!  Come on in and tell us which one you like the best!  There are several scents and we have all of them in order to find my favorite.

We also have some new tables and dining chairs!  You can order different sizes of the tables, or you can buy the ones in the store.  We have four 6-foot tables that are different colors and styles, and a giant 8-foot stained wood one that is super chunky and rustic.  Here are a few of the options:

farm table and bentwood chairs

This white table with the turned legs is my favorite!  I looks just like the one we have at home, and someone just ordered a longer one!  Here’s our dining room table, which was from Pottery Barn several years ago.

Here’s the same table in blue/gray with a stained top:

The rugs are for sale, too!  There are tons to choose from, and range in price from $89-$598.

Here’s a more modern table option and some stackable dining chairs that I love!

I love those chairs!  They’re whitewashed wood and inexpensive, and they stack so you can put away the extras when no one is coming over for dinner.

Do you see that blue dryer in the background?  It’s going to be part of our blue laundry room (in the shop).

Kitchens are coming soon!  We already have our displays of sample cabinet doors and countertops in, so if you’re wanting to get started thinking about a kitchen redo, come on in and look!

Here are a few more of the rugs for sale.

This picture was from last week when we were wading through a giant mess.

Here are some other things I love!  These are french demijohns.  We started out with a few and quickly ordered more!

Plus, we have flooring, carpet, custom rugs, designer fabrics, and wallpaper!  Here is our lighting display, which is coming soon from Visual Comfort:

Those are screenshots of our displays that are coming.  Visual Comfort is able to be ordered now, so come on it and we’ll help you find great lighting!  We also have some vintage farmhouse/industrial lighting, which is one of a kind.

Last thing.  Who is feeling friendly today?  If you are (and I hope you are), I have a 2-minute project for you.  We just showed up on Google as a business and got our first review!  Would you mind googling Holly Thompson Homes and writing us a Google review?  If you like our style or this blog or our shop or our kids or pets or anything, you are the perfect candidate.  It could just be a couple sentences, but as long as it’s 5 stars, we would really appreciate it.  I know you’re out there.  I would be ever so grateful.  And if you don’t, I will be crying until you do, because I can tell you haven’t yet.  You don’t want that to happen, right?  Thanks.

If you did a Google review, and feel like copying and pasting it into a review on our facebook page, that would be great too.  But if not, I will still love you forever because the Google review is more important.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

      Hey Jill!
Thank you so much! 🙂 We ordered the chairs from a European supplier and got all they had left. We have 12-14 in stock if you’re local and want to come see them! They’re stackable and pretty lightweight, so we can probably ship them if you would like.

I love those too! You have great taste!! 🙂

Thank you! I am in Austin…so would have to ship. Would love to know the cost per chair and the dimensions…I have large bamboo chairs but need smaller with my new round table. Thank you!

I’ll send you an email with dimensions once I can measure them at the shop, and also find out how much shipping would be. They’re the smaller size– there were originally a large and a small, and I thought the small had a nicer look to it so we ordered all the small ones. Both work as dining chairs, though. They’re $119 per chair, plus tax and shipping.
